Powered Wrist-Hand Orthosis
|
Here is a picture of my wrist splint as it is today. It has become more functional by increasing the voltage from 7 volts to 9 volts. It still could have additional functionality at certain times with 12 volts so I realize the need for a mode switch and a voltage regulator. This is being treated as a prototype and I am working on developing a better model that can be utilized by others with needs similar as my own, specifically C-5 level quadriplegics. I may go to having the power actuator mounted behind a chair with only a small cable running up to the arm.
